The Problem
Brooklyn's Unseen Emergency
In a city as vibrant and diverse as New York, over 250,000 seniors are quietly struggling in poverty. That’s nearly 1 in 5 older adults citywide—and the numbers are climbing fast.
A Call To Action
Senior poverty rose 40% in the last decade
- Bronx: 25% of seniors live below the poverty line
- Brooklyn: 20.9%—where our neighbors need us most
- Hispanic, Asian, and Black seniors face disproportionate hardship
- Older women living alone are among the most vulnerable
- Many seniors—especially those 75+—struggle with digital literacy, limiting access to telehealth, benefits enrollment, and social services
These are our elders—our culture keepers, caregivers, and community builders. Many lack access to basic support, from housing and food to culturally attuned case management.

Our Solution
Community-Rooted, Culturally Relevant Support
Care In Place Initiatives
Strives to establish an age-friendly ecosystem by addressing service gaps for older adults who encounter obstacles related to technology, transportation, housing, isolation, and healthcare. With extensive local insights and culturally attuned care, our philosophy of “Community First, Service Always” fosters dignity, stability, and joy for individuals aging in place. By collaborating with grassroots organizations, clinics, and care networks, LCS will function as both a direct service provider and a bridge to social, personal, and advocacy-based support systems.
